“Africa changes you forever, like nowhere on earth. Once you have been there, you will never be the same. But how do you begin to describe its magic to someone who has never felt it? How can you explain the fascination of this vast, dusty continent, whose oldest roads are elephant paths? Could it be because Africa is the place of all our beginnings, the cradle of mankind, where our species first stood upright on the savannahs of long ago?” — Brian Jackman

EARTH AFRICA supports over 1000 impoverished women from rural villages across South Africa... please see our GALLERY page for the products they make or scroll down to see some of our beaders.

African Beadwork empowers these women who, without any formal education, have little chance of gaining meaningful employment. Working directly from their villages allows these rural beaders to produce their beadwork while still attending to their children, livestock, and subsistence crops.

Unfortunately, these skilled beaders are unable to gain access to the mainstream market to sell their beautiful beadwork. Through their collaboration with Earth Africa, their products are now sold not only in South Africa but around the globe.

Proceeds from the sale of the Zulu Beadwork sold on this website are paid directly to these women, acting as their sole source of income. This enables them to support themselves and their families while sharing an authentic part of Africa’s culture with the world.

Thank you - Siyabonga.
